Medical Surgical Nurse New

Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for a “RN Med Surg” position that will provide support to our client's healthcare systems in Des Moines, IA. This is a contract assignment with a high likelihood of extension and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Description:

Job Title: RN Med Surg

Location: Des Moines, IA

Schedule: 3x12 hrs (36 hrs / week)

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Nights

Pay Range: $2080 – $2284 / week DOE

Overview:

We are looking to employ a skilled RN Med Surg to provide comprehensive healthcare services to inmates, including diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic conditions. You will collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure quality care in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and record patients' conditions, including vital signs and symptoms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Provide wound care, monitor for infections, and assist with post-operative recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.

Requirements:

• Experience: minimum 2 years of experience
• Certifications: Current BLS certification and active RN license
• Skills: Proficiency in EPIC EMR.
