ANNA Platte River Chapter 324

ANNA Capitol Hill: What you need to know

Posted over 6 years ago by Jen Walker

As nurses it is our privilege to be advocates for patient, nursing and making changes for better health care. I would ask every member to think about a change in the laws that effects someone they know.  These law makers may not have the knowledge base to make decisions for  patient and the conditions that shape their lives     Each day there are patients, staff and the community which health care change are affecting. This could be the medications they need, treatment for care inpatient or outpatient, and education to make better choices.  Go and explore the information and the website to make a difference.

The Nurse Licensure Compact is a modern licensure solution for the 21st century. As leaders in public protection, State Boards of Nursing developed and adopted the Nurse Licensure Compact in 2015. The Nurse Licensure Compact allows for nurses to have one multistate license with the ability to practice in all compact states.

NRAA DAY ON THE HILL

The National Renal Administrators Association (NRAA) plays a vital role in shaping healthcare policy for dialysis and ESRD patients, and comprehensive kidney care delivery models of the future. We work with lawmakers and regulators to promote and preserve the interests of independent, regional and community-based dialysis providers. The NRAA Day on the Hill is an annual opportunity for kidney care professionals and their patients to join us on the Hill in Washington, DC for a day of active advocacy.
